Russia's Arctic LNG 2 project Utrenny Terminal
Factory & Warehousing Utrenny Terminal, Gydan Peninsula, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia
The Arctic LNG 2 Project – Utrenny Terminal is one of Russia’s major liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure developments, designed to enhance natural gas production capacity and strengthen global LNG supply capabilities.
Located on the Gydan Peninsula in the Russian Arctic region, the project involves complex engineering construction under extreme climatic conditions, including low temperatures, harsh weather, and challenging marine environments.
Due to the demanding operating conditions of Arctic energy infrastructure, construction materials must provide exceptional strength, toughness, durability, and reliable performance under severe environments.
During the project construction, Shandong Shouyuan Steel Co., Ltd. supplied high-quality ASTM A572 Grade 50 heavy steel plates and ASTM A500 structural steel tubes to support LNG terminal facilities, steel structures, and related engineering applications.
Energy infrastructure projects require steel materials with excellent mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy, and strong resistance to demanding operating environments.
